The Erjie Paper Mill was founded during the period of Japanese rule and paper was an integral part of community life. In order to preserve the culture, which was greatly influenced by paper, the Daerjie Paper Museum is committed to prolonging the culture and life of Erjie Paper and creating a learning environment dedicated to paper. In early 2011, therefore, Wujie Township Farmers Association’s Warehouse No. 11 was converted into the Daerjie Paper Museum where volunteers from the Daerjie Fun with Paper Workshop大二結玩紙工坊 share with visitors the wonders of paper. In addition to introducing paper culture and the story of Daerjie, the museum has a number of the latest developments in paper art creations for you to enjoy.
