Once the Three Iron Works plant, the Three Iron Works Museum was founded by three experts in ironwork, Liao Xinhe廖心賀, Feng Huitong馮輝通, and Lin Tianjin林添金 as well as investor Xiao Shihu蕭石虎. In the 1960s, Three Iron Works had the technical depth and breadth to produce Yakitama-type fishing-boat engines almost 100% on its own. This museum later came into existence because Liao Daqing廖大慶 decided to commemorate his father Liao Xinhe廖心賀, who died at a young age, and the other engineers who cared for him and to protect it, because the factory saw the booming of the fishing boat industry in Nanfang’ao and had so many stories to tell.
