Covering an area of approximately 16 hectares, Luodong Forestry Culture Park is the former site of the Luodong Administrative Center and timber pond under Japanese rule.

The Taipingshan Mountains have remained more or less untouched since logging was discontinued there in 1982. In 2004, the area was converted into the Forestry Culture Park, which includes a natural ecology pool (the timber pond), aquatic plant pond, steam locomotive, and forest railroad tracks. It’s a wonderful place to just wander about and contemplate the days when Luodong thrived because of the logging business.
