A driving force behind art in Yilan, Chen Chung-tsang has never lived anywhere else. He has dedicated himself to creating art and promoting art education for over 60 years, helping cultivate many artists and art educators, successfully transforming Yilan into the cradle of art in Taiwan. Various types of artwork, including calligraphy and paintings in watercolors and oils can be seen in the Chen Chung-tsang Museum, which was designed by renowned architect Zhong Wenzheng (鍾文正), so visitors to this simple, yet bold structure can enjoy paintings of the Lanyang Museum rendered by Chen.
